I wanted storage for my photo's, read reviews on this item most were good a couple were negative. I have found it to be quiet, smart in appearence the blue led is not intrusive and flashes when it is being used. I have up to now used up 4000GB and have had no problems. I am very happy with the product. Easy to set up, holds a load of info and doesn't take up much room on the desk. I was worried that it may be loud but I can hardly hear it when on especially compared to my main hard drive. Excellent value.

It is much smaller than it looks on the picture.Works easily.I have my one plugged on my time capsule which I keep near my apple TV and WI-Fi so the blue neon won't bother me that much but never stop flashing as my time capsule it's always working. I guess we should be able to turn off, but apart from this small thing is perfect.

This is a fantastic product - and all because of one product feature!
It's hard to get excited about disc drives..but this one is different...it shuts itself down safely and automatically whenever either of two things happen; when you shut your PC or laptop down or when you remove the drives' USB connector from your PC. How great is that! Never again will you have to worry about safely removing the external drive from your system as you power everything down.
The other good thing is that it worked straight out of the box, no messing around - perfect for someone that just wants to plug it in and get on with things.

These drives are great, this is the second one ive purchased, first one to store all my mp3 & FLAC music files, the second one to store all my scanned negative images...
Nice & quiet, relatively quick transfer rate...
for the price, @ £65 its just the job.. ;-)
